Lent is Coming... Are You Ready?

Writer: Chris BraggChris Bragg

The season of Lent is upon us—a time of reflection, repentance, and renewal. As we prepare our hearts for Easter, we invite you to journey with us at Saint Timothy’s through worship, prayer, and sacred tradition.

Ash Wednesday – March 5 at 6:00 PM

Lent begins with the solemn call to "Remember that you are dust, and to dust you shall return." Join us for our Ash Wednesday service at 6:00 PM, where we will receive the imposition of ashes, hear the call to repentance, and set our hearts toward the forty-day journey ahead. This ancient practice reminds us of our mortality, our need for grace, and the hope we find in Christ.

Stations of the Cross – Sundays at 11:00 AM

Each Sunday during Lent, we will begin worship with the Stations of the Cross, walking prayerfully through Christ’s journey to Calvary. This deeply moving devotion invites us to reflect on the depth of Christ’s love and sacrifice before entering into our regular worship service.

Sunday Worship – Following Stations of the Cross

Our Lenten Sundays continue with worship immediately after the Stations of the Cross, where we engage in prayer, scripture, and reflection. Whether through Morning Prayer or the Holy Eucharist, we come together to seek God’s presence and prepare our hearts for the joy of Easter.

Lent is a season that calls us to slow down, listen, and turn toward God. Wherever you are on your journey, you are welcome to walk this road with us.

We hope to see you this Lent!
